Title: Retail Manager
Moran, WY, US, 83013
Job Description
Nestled high in the mountains, Togwotee Mountain Lodge has earned its reputation as the World's Premier Snowmobile destination. In the summer, Togwotee is the perfect place to be for exploring both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. We offer additional guiding opportunities in Jackson, WY for rafting and snowmobile guides. Togwotee offers something for everyone!
Togwotee Mountain Lodge is located in the Bridger-Teton National Forest – 16 miles from Grand Teton National Park and 47 miles from the South Gate of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. Sand Whitewater Rafting and Teton Tour Company are located in Jackson, WY.
We're hiring a Retail Manager to run the lodge's retail operation. You'll own the full scope of the store: merchandising, inventory, purchasing, receiving, cash handling, and staffing. This is a small-footprint retail environment in a remote setting, so you'll need to be comfortable wearing every hat, from placing orders and managing stock to jumping behind the register and training seasonal staff. You'll report to the General Manager and be accountable for the store's P&L. The right person for this role is organized, self-directed, and realistic about what retail looks like at a mountain lodge 50 miles from the nearest town.
Job Responsibilities
- In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.
- Manage inventory: ordering, receiving, stocking, ticketing, and periodic physical counts
- Hire, schedule, and train seasonal retail staff within payroll budget
- Open and close the store with proper cash, credit card, and security procedures
- Reconcile daily financial transactions, including sales, returns, and merchandise transfers
- Resolve customer issues directly and promptly
- Maintain merchandising standards and product knowledge across the team
- Track and address inventory discrepancies
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of retail management experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Suite
- Experience managing a P&L or operating budget
- Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Organized, self-sufficient, and good with people
