Title: General Manager
Minneapolis, MN, US, 55112
Job Description
The General Manager is a hands-on, on-site leadership role responsible for the overall operation and performance of the Mounds View branch. This leader will have broad responsibility across the location, including Route, Service, Warehouse, Customer Service, inventory, employee leadership, safety, financial performance, and other operational responsibilities as assigned.
The Mounds View operation is primarily focused on Vending and Micro Market services, and the General Manager will be expected to develop a strong understanding of both lines of business and the operational requirements necessary to deliver consistent service to customers. In addition, this leader will be expected to learn the Office Coffee Services (OCS) business in order to broaden their operational capability and support the needs of the larger market over time.
This leader will be on-site five days per week and serve as the primary operational owner for this standalone branch. Because the location operates with a high degree of local ownership, the General Manager must be comfortable leading across multiple functions, making sound day-to-day business decisions, and staying close enough to the operation to understand what is happening with employees, customers, routes, service, inventory, and branch execution.
The General Manager will lead and develop a team of both hourly and salaried employees and will be responsible for creating clear expectations, strengthening accountability, developing leaders, and building consistent operating routines across the branch.
While the primary responsibility of this position is the Mounds View operation, the General Manager may also be asked to support other branch locations based on business needs. This may include sharing best practices, assisting with operational challenges, providing temporary leadership support, or helping drive consistency across the broader market.
This role requires a leader who can balance strategic ownership with hands-on execution, quickly learn different areas of the business, solve problems independently, and build a strong culture of safety, service, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
