Under the supervision of a District Manager, the Sanitation Manager, plans, executes and manages the daily operation of sanitation activities at the client location.  Client Retention/Customer Relationships / One Best Team / Quality/Productivity / Safety / Financial

Job Responsibilities

CLIENT RETENTION / CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS

  • You are the Aramark business agent at your site.
  • Deliver service as contracted and promised.
  • Use agreed upon KPIs to track performance.
  • Conduct regular consultative business reviews with client, capture information using scorecard tool, or meeting minutes (MJRs).
  • Build client relationships.
  • Keep all Confidential and proprietary Aramark information and any other information directed by your Aramark manager confidential and inside Aramark management at all times.
  • Create a web of influence.
  • Demonstrate and document Aramark’s value.
  • Participate in customer and community activities and functions.
  • Customer retention.

 

ONE BEST TEAM

  • Communicate team vision, goals, and purpose.
  • Team selection and recruitment.
  • Communication of standards (safety, productivity, quality), employee handbook
  • Team assessment and training.
  • Appraisals.
  • Individual development plans (documented orientation, ongoing training records)
  • Monthly Team Meetings.
  • Monthly training sessions (Safety, Job Skill, Life Skills, Other Mandatory Training).
  • Create a caring environment and good relationships.
  • Employee retention, low employee turnover (goal of 20% or less).
  • Leadership development/succession planning.

 

QUALITY/PRODUCTIVITY

  • Service/Delivery.
  • Aramark Sanitation OPX Program in place and operational.
  • Assess service delivery and customer expectations (SPM).
  • Implement productivity and technology innovations.
  • Measurement and feedback.
  • Internal – quality and productivity targets, Go Spot check audits completed monthly.
  • Lead Sanitation in external – industry specific, i.e.: ISO-9000, BRC/SQF, FSMA, FDA, etc. inspections.
  • Customer Food Safety Inspections – Weekly.
  • Conduct Monthly Joint Review, semi-annual customer feedback.
  • Employee – Employee Satisfaction Survey.

 

SAFETY

  • Establish Standards.
  • Procedures, Behaviors, Observation, Reporting, Zero tolerance.
  • No reportable injuries, no lost days of work.
  • Provide and document Safety Training.
  • GMM reporting, monthly/weekly focus.
  • Assess and measure outcomes.
  • Display and use Aramark safety program.
  • Conduct root cause analysis in the GMM on all accidents and reported unsafe conditions.
  • Effectively manage all worker comp claims.

 

FINANCIAL

  • Full P&L Responsibilities for Account Site.
  • Manage labor, revenue, and expenses to maximize FLC.
  • Invoice in a timely manner.
  • Follow-up and collect payments.
  • Pursue pre-payment.
  • Budget.
  • Create annual budgets and then manage to meet or exceed budget.
  • Manage Revenue and FLC to within 5% of monthly estimates.
  • Base Business Growth.
  • Grow base business 5% per year.
  • Support Regional Sales Executives by delivering excellent service.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred 
  • 3–5+ years of experience in sanitation or operations leadership within a food manufacturing or bakery environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (FSMA, HACCP, SQF, BRC, GMPs).
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced, production environment.
  • Experience with sanitation chemicals, CIP systems, and industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bi-lingual – Spanish/English preferred 

 

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
