Job Description
The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for supporting and improving the profitability of culinary operations. This role ensures the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency while maintaining excellent customer service, safety, and sanitation. The Kitchen Supervisor leads and develops kitchen staff, oversees daily food preparation and production, and partners with management to drive sales and control costs.
Long Description
COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $25.00 to $27.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

Controls labor costs by supervising daily kitchen staffing levels as needed while driving efficiency from all culinary staff.

Oversees food production to ensure quality, consistency, and presentation meet established culinary standards.

Retains control of production costs, supply costs, and inventory by adhering to all culinary and operational standards.

Monitors and audits food quality, taste, and portion control on a regular basis to ensure excellence.

Ensures adherence to all safety, sanitation, and health procedures in compliance with Aramark policies and local regulations.

Develops and implements strategies to enhance customer satisfaction through culinary innovation and service excellence.

Supervises teamwork and coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house staff to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Provides day-to-day leadership in the kitchen, addressing employee issues in a professional manner while maintaining Aramark policies.

Supports and implements training programs that build culinary skills, improve food preparation standards, and enhance guest service.

Assists in employee reviews and addresses interim performance issues with coaching and development.

Ensures accurate adherence to Aramark’s time and attendance procedures.

Adjusts daily staffing levels based on business needs to maintain efficiency without compromising food quality.

Qualifications
- Proven background in culinary arts, including strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation standards.

Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff.

Strong communication skills to delegate tasks and maintain smooth kitchen operations.

Ability to resolve conflicts, manage schedules, and ensure team efficiency.
- Prior experience as a cook, lead line cook, or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.

Must have 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Current Certifications as needed
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
