Job Description

Aramark Healthcare is seeking an Controller to join their team.  As a Controller, this position will play a critical role in analyzing and optimizing the financial and operational performance of multiple healthcare accounts in the Los Angeles/San Francisco area.  The Controller will manage accounting operations, oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure compliance with GAAP while fostering a culture of financial responsibility.  

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, directs, and organizes accurate and timely reporting and forecasting of financial information.
  • Compiles monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operating information and ensures the accuracy and integrity of all financial reports and internal control requirements.
  • Prepares support on major projects by gathering and analyzing detailed information.
  • Works with front line managers to develop knowledge and accountability for department financial information.
  • Financial planning and analysis: create annual forecast/budget by venue, create weekly/monthly/annual financial reports 
  • Accountable for Cash Flow, Cash and Banking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Capital Expenditures
  • Audits/Contract Compliance – including Cash, Accounts Payable, SOX and working with internal corporate auditors 
  • local, state, and federal regulations and codes 
  • Train and develop finance and operations teams on financial acumen and policies 
  • Client Communication (as applicable) – including systems, reporting, and changes to the program 
  • Assist in operational support as needed with direction from Leadership/Regional Finance Director 
  • Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients and co-workers.  Is responsive to customer needs.

Note: Due to the nature of the business additional duties may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance.  CPA preferred
  • MS Excel knowledge required (Vlookup, pivot tables, etc.
  • Experience of working with Oracle System preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to travel to physical account locations
  • Remote Controller position; West Coast based preferred (Los Angeles/San Francisco)
