Job Description

Receiver is responsible for receiving and stocking product deliveries, checking for accurate order and ensuring adherence to all time, temperature and quality standards in accordance with Business Process Compliance/Receiving MA SOP. May be required to drive both over-the-road (OTR) and non-OTR vehicles, which may include DOT-regulated (CMV, 10k<26k lbs) vehicles. General Warehouse duties occur within the assigned area of warehouse operations and position supports all areas of the warehouse as needed.

Compensation Data

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 to $22.00, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.  This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting. ​ ​

Job Responsibilities

•    Receives deliveries using a WIMS scanner, and checks all deliveries for temperature, case counts, damage, and any other receiving-compliance items. 
•    Fills out appropriate log books for temperature, time of delivery, and any shortages or damages. 
•    Communicates with management on any shortages or damages to products upon delivery. 
•    Stocks inventory in cooler, freezer, and dry areas – extended cold-temperature exposure will be required. 
•    Must achieve and maintain ServSafe certification. 
•    Will be required to operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) including forklifts, tugs, carts and pallet jacks. Must possess a valid driver’s license, meet Aramark’s CMV policy requirements and complete/maintain forklift certification.
•    If required to drive an OTR DOT-regulated vehicle (CMV, 10k<26k lbs), must meet and maintain DOT and Aramark CMV policy requirements. 
•    Responsible for daily inspections on all PIVs.
•    Safely operates PIVs and other vehicles in a manner consistent with safe work procedures and in accordance with operating guidelines.
•    Picks inventory as instructed.
•    Responsible and accountable for the stocking and accurate documentation of all inventory.
•    Utilizes inventory control/ (FIFO) rotation procedures to minimize waste/spoilage.
•    Participates in daily/weekly/monthly inventory counts.
•    Load and Unload products and materials from truck, and/or railcar. 
•    Move products and materials to warehouse storage. 
•    Safely operates PIVs in a manner consistent with safe work procedures.
•    Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and safety/security guidance.
•    Complete daily logs. 
•    Communicate with employees from other shifts. 
•    Clean and maintain work area. 
•    General warehouse work as assigned.
•    Participates in daily shift briefings.
•    Uses PCs, hand-held computers or other such devices.
•    Meet accuracy and production standards.
•    Comply with all OSHA and MSDS Standards, and all Company work rules, policies and procedures.
•    Maintain a professional attitude among co-workers and visitors to the facility.
•    Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

•    If required to operate an OTR vehicle, must have/maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to meet and maintain all other DOT and Aramark CMV policy employment requirements, including the ability to pass a road test and physical.
•    Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
•    Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
•    Ability to read/understand various types of Invoices, PoDs, and Bill of Ladings.
•    Ability to visually inspect food for proper quality and operate a variety of different thermometers (digital and analog).
•    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 
•    Position requires repetitive motion, overhead reaching, working in both extreme heat and extreme cold.
•    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
•    Basic computer skills required.
•    Must be able to push a full-loaded warehouse cart.
