Job Description
Aramark is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Internal Event Manager / Administrative Support professional to lead internal event sales and operations at the Morton Arboretum. This role is responsible for planning and executing internal events that align with client expectations, while also providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
Event Management & Sales
- Manage the full lifecycle of internal events—from initial inquiry through execution.
- Build strong client relationships and deliver creative, customized event solutions.
- Coordinate event details including menu planning, staffing, vendor communication, and logistics.
- Generate and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure seamless communication across departments.
- Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to develop menus and execute events to the highest standards.
Operations & Financial Oversight
- Monitor and report on catering revenue, expenses, and labor to meet financial targets.
- Maintain departmental budgets and ensure accurate documentation of all catering-related activities.
Administrative Support
- Perform administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, maintaining records, data entry, and filing.
- Support internal communication and documentation processes to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a minimum of three years of related experience.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role within special events, hospitality, or catering is required.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective client and customer relationships.
- Strong interpersonal communication, client relations, and ideally sales skills.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Must complete food handler and alcohol service certifications as required.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Flexibility to work event-based hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- To meet evolving business needs, job responsibilities may be adjusted or new tasks assigned without prior formal notice.
