Job Description

The Catering Services Worker supports the event operations team in running successful catering orders and events within the location. The Catering Services Worker supports and carries out event set up, transporting equipment, food, or other supplies to the event location, serving guests during the event, and breaking down/ cleaning up after the end of an event.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $19.00 to $19.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up catering and event spaces according to client requests and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)

  • Deliver food, beverages, equipment, and supplies to event locations

  • Set up tables, food stations, and event equipment

  • Serve and run food and beverages efficiently using various service styles (buffet, plated, passed, family-style)

  • Maintain knowledge of menus and specials to answer guest questions and make recommendations

  • Replenish food and beverage items throughout events

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of food service areas

  • Clear used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly and discreetly

  • Break down events, clean service areas, and return equipment to proper storage

  • Complete side work, restocking, and prep for upcoming events

  • Communicate efficiently while following event timelines and direction from supervisors and managers

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork by supporting fellow team members (servers, bartenders, supervisors, runners, chefs, and temporary staff) to create a seamless and positive event experience for guests.

  • Provide excellent guest service by anticipating needs and ensuring satisfaction in a professional manner

  • Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service, catering, serving, or event experience preferred (not required)

  • Strong work ethic with a positive, professional attitude

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25–40 lbs

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, indoors and outdoors

  • Reliable transportation and punctuality required

  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to complete Food Handling and Alcohol Service training

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Must follow dress code, appearance, and grooming standards

This role may involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
