Job Description
The Kitchen Administrator is responsible for ensuring the Culinary Department runs smoothly by providing administrative and operational support to the Culinary leadership team.
Job Responsibilities
- Completes opening and closing duties as assigned
- Creates prep lists for kitchen staff
- Supports and oversees food preparation
- Manages inventory- including ordering food and overseeing food deliveries
- Hiring and training new team members
- Managing schedules
- Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, prep, and service areas

Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older (Required)
- Strong base of culinary knowledge
- ServSafe or Food Safety Certification equivalent (Required) – will be trained and certified upon hire (as needed)
- Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50lbs.
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to accept change and new procedures
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and ability to ensure a safe environment for employees and guests
- Attention to detail
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, meet production/service time schedules, and adapt to necessary and unforeseen changes
This role will have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of PPE.
