Job Description

The Finance Coordinator provides key support to both the Finance and Human Resources functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple administrative processes. This role assists with day-to-day finance operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close, while also supporting HR activities including recruitment coordination, onboarding, and employee recordkeeping.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external partners are essential for success in this role.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

Finance Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting support.
  • Understand and help manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
  • Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and verify billing accuracy.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices and track collections to ensure timely payments.
  • Compile and review financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues to maintain efficiency and compliance.
  • Provide backup support for month-end closing activities as needed.
  • Maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for finance processes.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries, research and resolve discrepancies, and communicate outcomes clearly.
  • Help cultivate an environment of continuous improvement through process refinement and collaboration.
  • HR duties as assigned.

Human Resources Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment coordination, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding (pre-employment paperwork, background checks, and orientation).
  • Maintain and update employee personnel files, HRIS data, and other confidential records.
  • Support benefits administration, including open enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support for employee engagement activities, trainings, and performance reviews.
  • Prepare HR reports and assist with compliance documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Offer general administrative support to the HR team, including meeting coordination, correspondence, and filing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable experience required.
  • HR experience or exposure to HR processes strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and leadership at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiar with HRIS and/or accounting software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and execute assignments accurately and efficiently.
  • Prior experience serving as a liaison between internal departments and external clients preferred.


 
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
