Job Description
The Sanitation Manager reports to the District Manager. Plans, coordinates and directs all sanitation activitieswithin a food manufacturing environment, including Aramark and client financial accountability, and compliancewith the standards established by Aramark, regulatory agencies and clients. Establishes and maintains effectiveworking relationships with other departments to provide a unified approach to facilities management.
COMPENSATION: The salary rate for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist in managing sanitation operations within a food manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA, GMP, and HACCP standards
- Support development and execution of master sanitation schedules (MSS) and facility cleaning and maintenance plans
- Establish and track operational KPIs, including sanitation effectiveness, audit readiness, and safety performance
- Lead daily workforce planning, including scheduling, assigning, and monitoring sanitation team activities
- Conduct routine (weekly/daily) facility inspections, documenting findings and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Champion food safety culture by enforcing SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) and company policies
- Drive operational efficiency and cost control, identifying process improvements and waste reduction opportunities
- Monitor and manage sanitation chemical usage, inventory levels, and supply chain coordination
- Participate in budget management, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and supporting cost optimization initiatives
- Act as primary liaison between facility operations and client stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards (OSHA) and promote safe work practices including proper PPE usage
- Support and lead capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives from planning through execution
- Maintain audit readiness for internal, customer, and third-party audits (e.g., SQF, BRC)
Qualifications

3–5+ years of progressive leadership experience in sanitation, food production, or manufacturing operations

Proven experience managing teams in a diverse, fast-paced production environmentStrong knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation systems, and environmental controls

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) Preferred

Demonstrated ability in project management, including capital planning and maintenance program execution

Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management

Experience in contract-managed services or multi-site operations preferred

Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure

Proficient in data analysis, reporting systems, and sanitation tracking tools
