Job Description

The Sanitation Manager reports to the District Manager. Plans, coordinates and directs all sanitation activitieswithin a food manufacturing environment, including Aramark and client financial accountability, and compliancewith the standards established by Aramark, regulatory agencies and clients. Establishes and maintains effectiveworking relationships with other departments to provide a unified approach to facilities management.

 

COMPENSATION: The salary rate for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.  This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of the sanitation team to ensure a clean and sanitary work place withina food manufacturing environment
  • Help to prepare and manage the facility sanitation and maintenance plans, and helps to establishoperational goals
  • Schedule and distribute work assignments on a daily basis
  • Perform weekly inspections, document findings and identify improvements to be made
  • Assist in driving operational efficiencies, enforcing compliance with all company and customer policiesand procedures, including safety and work rules
  • Perform weekly supply inventory and become familiar with and implement the budget
  • Represents Aramark Facility Services on a daily basis to the customer's employees and key decisionmakers

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of progressive management in sanitation services

  • Management experience in a diverse environment

  • Sanitation experience in a related industry is strongly preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Ability to coordinate and lead capital projects, maintenance plans, and funding requests from conception tocompletion is required

  • Requires strong financial analysis, interpretation, budgeting and computer skills

  • Profit and Loss accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is highly desirable

  • Must demonstrate strong leadership, customer service, communication and team building skills

  • Must be very organized and be able to work well under pressure, while handling multiple prioritiessimultaneously

  • This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/orextended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal ProtectiveEquipment (PPE).
