Job Description
Aramark Sports & Entertainment is seeking a Catering Manager to oversee premium services for Reliant Park in Houston, Texas.
The Catering Manager is responsible for leading all catering operations, including client engagement, event execution, financial performance, and team development. This position ensures exceptional hospitality experiences while driving revenue growth, managing expenses, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering successful events.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership, Client Engagement & Team Development
• Lead, coach, train, and develop a high-performing catering team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, communication, teamwork, and service excellence.
• Build and maintain strong client and customer relationships.
• Partner with clients to develop customized catering solutions and ensure exceptional event experiences.
• Conduct team meetings, daily huddles, employee coaching, performance discussions, and recognition programs.
• Collaborate with culinary, operations, sales, and support teams to achieve business objectives.
Financial & Business Performance
• Achieve catering revenue, labor, food cost, and profitability goals.
• Identify opportunities to grow sales, improve efficiencies, and maximize financial performance.
• Track, manage, and optimize costs associated with events and operations.
Event Operations & Execution
• Plan, coordinate, and execute catering events ranging from small meetings to large-scale hospitality functions.
• Manage staffing, logistics, equipment, food service, inventory, and event timelines.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, service standards, and overall event execution exceed expectations.
• Coordinate catering operations to ensure seamless delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes.
Safety, Compliance & Administration
• Ensure compliance with all company, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain food safety, HACCP, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Complete and maintain employee records, schedules, training documentation, and operational reporting.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and guest-focused work environment.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years of catering, hospitality, food service, or event management experience.
• Previous leadership experience in a high-volume hospitality environment preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, labor, expenses, and financial performance.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hospitality industry best practices.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must meet company driving requirements and be eligible to operate company-owned vehicles, including catering vans used to transport food, beverages, equipment, supplies, and event materials.
Work Schedule & Travel Requirements
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Events may occur at any time of day and on any day of the week.
• Must be able to work extended shifts and long hours during peak operational periods.
• Must be available to support multi-day events requiring consecutive workdays and extended operational coverage.
• Must be able to support onsite and offsite catering events.
• May be required to travel and support other Aramark locations, properties, special projects, openings, training initiatives, and major events.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb, and perform physical tasks associated with event setup, execution, and breakdown.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to travel throughout the venue, event spaces, offsite locations, and other Aramark properties as business needs require.
