Job Description
Aramark Nexus is hiring a Warehouse and Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing, receiving, warehouse, and inventory operations for a new, large-scale workforce community near Hereford, Texas, within driving distance of both Hereford and Amarillo.
This full-time management opportunity is a strong fit for an experienced Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager, Warehouse Manager, Inventory Manager, Materials Manager, Receiving Manager, or Supply Chain professional who has managed purchasing and inventory across a complex hospitality, facilities, maintenance, or operational environment.
The Warehouse and Purchasing Manager will oversee procurement, receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of supplies needed to operate the community. This includes food and beverage products as well as facilities and maintenance supplies, MRO parts, tools, equipment, housekeeping products, operating supplies, and other materials used across the site.
This individual will work closely with culinary, food and beverage, facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, operations, finance, and other site leaders to ensure departments have the right materials available when they are needed. The role will also manage vendor relationships, purchase orders, inventory levels, receiving standards, warehouse organization, cost controls, and purchasing systems.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, comfortable working across multiple departments, and able to balance cost, inventory availability, quality, and operational urgency within a fast-moving 24/7 environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead purchasing, receiving, warehouse, inventory, and materials management activities across food service, facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, and other site operations.
- Purchase and maintain appropriate inventory levels for food and beverage products, maintenance and MRO parts, tools, equipment, chemicals, operating supplies, and other materials required by the site.
- Partner with culinary, facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, operations, and finance leaders to forecast needs, establish par levels, and support changing operational requirements.
- Manage purchase orders, approved vendors, product specifications, pricing, contract compliance, SKU compliance, and purchasing system accuracy.
- Oversee receiving operations and ensure deliveries are verified for quantity, quality, pricing, condition, and purchase order accuracy before acceptance.
- Maintain organized warehouse and storage areas, including dry storage, refrigerated and frozen products, maintenance parts, facilities supplies, equipment, and other inventory.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts, reconcile variances, monitor stock movement, and maintain accurate inventory records within applicable systems.
- Manage vendor relationships and proactively address shortages, substitutions, delivery issues, damaged products, pricing discrepancies, and service concerns.
- Monitor purchasing activity against budgets, identify cost variances, support invoice reconciliation, and maintain accurate purchasing and receiving documentation.
- Ensure food products are received and stored according to food safety, sanitation, FIFO, HACCP, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Supervise and develop receiving, warehouse, or inventory employees as assigned while establishing clear expectations for safety, accuracy, organization, and productivity.
- Use purchasing, inventory, and operational data to improve availability, reduce waste, control costs, prevent stockouts, and support efficient site operations.

Qualifications
- Requires experience in purchasing, procurement, warehouse operations, receiving, inventory management, materials management, supply chain, or a related operational function.
- Previous experience as a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager, Warehouse Manager, Inventory Manager, Materials Manager, Receiving Manager, or similar role is preferred.
- Experience purchasing and managing inventory for multiple operational departments, including facilities, maintenance, MRO, food service, hospitality, or similar functions, is highly valued.
- Working knowledge of purchase orders, vendor management, inventory controls, receiving processes, cycle counts, par levels, and warehouse operations.
- Experience purchasing maintenance parts, tools, equipment, facilities supplies, or MRO materials is strongly preferred.
- Experience with food and beverage purchasing, receiving, storage, and food safety requirements is preferred.
- Proficiency with purchasing, inventory, ERP, warehouse management, or related business systems, along with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and attention-to-detail skills.
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Hospitality, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work in warehouse, receiving dock, refrigerated, frozen, and operational environments and lift up to 50 pounds when required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with facilities, maintenance, culinary, food service, housekeeping, finance, and operational leadership.
- Schedule flexibility is required and may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays based on deliveries and the needs of a 24/7 operation.

Location and Future On-Site Housing
This position will support a new project located near Hereford, Texas, within driving distance of both Hereford and Amarillo. Additional details regarding the specific work location will be shared with candidates as they move through the hiring process.
As the project develops, free on-site room and board is planned to become available for eligible employees. This will include housing and meals provided at no cost, creating an option for employees who prefer to live closer to the worksite rather than commute each day. Additional information about housing, availability, amenities, and timing will be provided as those services become available.
