Job Description
Aramark Nexus is hiring a Safety Manager to support a new, large-scale hospitality and residential workforce community near Hereford, Texas, within driving distance of both Hereford and Amarillo.
This full-time safety leadership role will support occupational safety, environmental health and safety, risk management, workers' compensation, food safety, emergency response, employee training, and health service coordination across a 24/7 operation.
The Safety Manager will provide visible, hands-on safety leadership across housing, dining, facilities, transportation, recreation, common areas, and other support services. This person will be responsible for helping protect employees, residents, clients, contractors, vendors, and visitors through proactive risk identification, safety training, inspections, incident investigation, corrective action management, and emergency preparedness.

The Safety Manager will partner closely with Operations, Human Resources, Facilities, Security, food service leadership, corporate safety and risk teams, medical service providers, and outside vendors. The successful candidate will be comfortable influencing leaders and frontline employees, identifying risks before they become incidents, and maintaining a strong safety culture in a fast-moving 24/7 environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and implement occupational safety, environmental health and safety, risk control, and injury prevention programs across a large-scale 24/7 residential and hospitality operation.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and field observations across housing, dining, facilities, transportation, recreation, common areas, and other site operations.
- Train and coach managers and employees on safety procedures, hazard recognition, incident prevention, emergency response, and Aramark safety expectations.
- Lead incident and injury investigations, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and monitor trends to reduce injury frequency and severity.
- Coordinate workers' compensation processes in partnership with Human Resources, claims administrators, medical providers, and operational leadership.
- Serve as a key liaison with onsite or third-party medical and health service providers, including injury response, return-to-work coordination, and health-related protocols.
- Prepare for and support internal, external, client, and regulatory safety audits and inspections while ensuring corrective actions are completed appropriately.
- Maintain required safety documentation, training records, incident reports, observations, corrective action records, and other compliance documentation.
- Partner with Facilities, Security, Operations, and medical providers on emergency preparedness, drills, emergency response plans, and crisis management.
- Support food safety, environmental compliance, occupational safety, and other applicable regulatory and operational requirements.
- Lead safety meetings, new hire safety orientation, ongoing training, and cross-functional safety communication.
- Serve as a visible and trusted safety leader who builds strong relationships, influences behavior, and promotes accountability at every level of the operation.

Location and Future On-Site Housing
This position will support a new project located near Hereford, Texas, within driving distance of both Hereford and Amarillo. Additional details regarding the specific work location will be shared with candidates as they move through the hiring process.
As the project develops, free on-site room and board is planned to become available for eligible employees. This will include housing and meals provided at no cost, creating an option for employees who prefer to live closer to the worksite rather than commute each day. Additional information about housing, availability, amenities, and timing will be provided as those services become available.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Public Health, Industrial Safety, or a related field is preferred.
- Requires at least 3 years of experience in occupational safety, environmental health and safety, risk management, loss prevention, or a related safety function.
- Previous experience as a Safety Manager, EHS Manager, HSE Manager, Occupational Safety Manager, Risk Manager, or similar safety professional is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of incident investigation, corrective action management, workers' compensation, safety audits, and injury prevention.
- Experience supporting a large, complex, 24/7 operation is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing or coordinating third-party vendors, medical providers, clinic services, or other external safety and health partners is preferred.
- Working knowledge of applicable occupational safety, environmental health, food safety, and emergency response requirements.
- ServSafe certification preferred or ability to obtain. OSHA-related certification or training is preferred.
- Strong communication, coaching, influencing, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a physically active environment and lift up to 50 pounds when required.
- Schedule flexibility is required and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency response support in a 24/7 operating environment.
