Aramark Nexus is hiring an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support a new, large-scale food service and hospitality operation near Hereford, Texas, within driving distance of both Hereford and Amarillo.

 

This full-time management opportunity is a strong fit for an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor, Food Service Manager, Dining Manager, Restaurant Manager, Cafeteria Manager, Hospitality Manager, or Assistant Food Service Manager who is ready to take on broader leadership responsibility in a high-volume operation.

 

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will help lead daily dining and food service operations, including front-of-house service, residential dining, meal periods, team supervision, food safety, customer service, labor, inventory, and overall operational execution. This is a hands-on leadership role that works closely with food and beverage leadership to make sure the operation runs safely, efficiently, and consistently.

 

The successful candidate will be comfortable leading hourly employees, coaching teams, solving operational issues, managing busy meal periods, and maintaining a strong service culture. Experience in restaurants, cafeterias, hotels, resorts, campus dining, healthcare food service, corporate dining, senior living, residential dining, or other high-volume hospitality environments can translate well to this opportunity.

Location and Future On-Site Housing

 

This position will support a new project located near Hereford, Texas, within driving distance of both Hereford and Amarillo. Additional details regarding the specific work location will be shared with candidates as they move through the hiring process.

 

As the project develops, free on-site room and board is planned to become available for eligible employees. This will include housing and meals provided at no cost, creating an option for employees who prefer to live closer to the worksite rather than commute each day. Additional information about housing, availability, amenities, and timing will be provided as those services become available.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support daily food and beverage operations, including residential dining, cafeteria service, front-of-house execution, and other food service concepts.
  • Lead, coach, schedule, and support hourly food service employees while creating clear expectations for performance, service, and teamwork.
  • Partner with food and beverage leadership to coordinate meal periods, staffing, production needs, service standards, and daily operational priorities.
  • Maintain strong food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety standards throughout the operation.
  • Monitor the guest and resident dining experience and address service issues quickly and professionally.
  • Support labor management, inventory controls, ordering, food cost, waste reduction, and other operational and financial performance measures.
  • Use operational data, staffing information, inventory trends, and service results to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Help train employees on service standards, operating procedures, safety requirements, food handling, and customer service expectations.
  • Maintain effective relationships with guests, clients, culinary teams, facilities, and other site departments to support a consistent overall experience.
  • Support special events, catering, changing meal volumes, and additional food service needs as required.
  • Help create a positive, accountable, and service-focused culture where employees are recognized, developed, and expected to deliver consistent results.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Requires at least 1 year of experience in food service, food and beverage, hospitality, restaurant operations, dining services, or a related environment.
  • Requires previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience in a food service or hospitality operation.
  • Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor, Food Service Supervisor, Assistant Restaurant Manager, Dining Manager, Cafeteria Manager, Hospitality Supervisor, or similar role is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting high-volume dining, restaurant, cafeteria, residential dining, hospitality, or institutional food service operations is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, labor management, inventory, and daily food service operations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across culinary, hospitality, facilities, and other operational teams.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Schedule flexibility is required and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
