The 1st Shift Setups & Projects is responsible for setting up and breaking down events on campus, moving furniture and equipment, assisting with campus-wide projects, and performing basic preventative maintenance tasks. This role requires coordination with clients, students, and staff to ensure smooth operations. The position also includes laundry responsibilities and travel between the main and satellite campuses, requiring a valid driver’s license.

Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs

Job Responsibilities

• Event Setups & Coordination:
  •    Set up and break down tables, chairs, and other equipment for campus events.
  •    Coordinate with clients, faculty, and student organizations to ensure event needs are met.
  •    Maintain inventory of event setup supplies and report any damages or shortages.
  •    Assist with special campus events such as graduation and ceremonies.
  Furniture Moves & Campus Support:
  •    Move furniture, equipment, and other materials across campus as needed.
  •    Assist with office relocations and classroom furniture reconfigurations.
  •    Safely operate moving equipment such as dollies and carts.
  •    Provide support for special campus projects as assigned.
  Preventative Maintenance & Safety Checks:
  •    Perform routine checks on fire extinguishers, defibrillator batteries, and pads.
  •    Monthly custodial equipment maintenance of filters and bags.
  •    Report and document any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
  •    Assist in minor facility maintenance tasks as needed.
  Laundry & Cleaning Support:
  •    Wash, dry, and maintain microfibers and mops for custodial staff.
  •    Ensure laundry area remains clean and organized.
  Transportation & Logistics:
  •    Drive between main and satellite campuses to transport supplies and equipment.
  •    Maintain a valid driver’s license and adhere to campus vehicle policies.
  •    Assist in delivering and distributing supplies as needed.

Qualifications

• •    Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  •    Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
  •    Use of hand tools, moving equipment, and campus vehicles.
   
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers
• Adaptable to guests’ needs

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
