Job Description

The Internship Program is Aramark's primary entry point for emerging talent. It is a paid, immersive summer experience designed for current college students who want real leadership exposure in a fast-paced, people-first environment. The structured, cohort-based program is designed to develop the next generation of leaders.


Interns are embedded in one of Aramark's eleven Lines of Business, focusing on Food & Hospitality, Facilities, or Refreshments services at client sites across the United States. The role combines hands-on experience with structured leadership development, mentorship, and cohort-based learning. Interns are expected to demonstrate strong leadership potential and a commitment to growth within Aramark.


The Aramark Internship Program is the primary pipeline into the Management Accelerator Program (MAP).

Job Responsibilities

Works directly with the Human Resources Manager and operational leadership teams to support recruitment, employee relations, workforce planning, HR compliance, and employee lifecycle activities while ensuring adherence to Aramark policies and procedures. 

 

  • Partner HR and operations teams to support seasonal and event-based staffing initiatives.  
  • Track and collect employment documentation, certifications, and onboarding paperwork to ensure compliance requirements are met. 
  • Assist recruitment efforts by screening candidates, conducting interviews, supporting hiring events, and assisting with candidate communications.  
  • Support employee relations efforts by helping address employee questions and workplace concerns in collaboration with management onsite.  
  • Provide on-site HR support during major events and operational periods, assisting with workforce coordination and employee issue resolution.  
  • Assist with workforce administration activities including employee status changes, leave tracking, separations, and workforce reporting.  
  • Generate and analyze reports related to hiring, staffing and compliance.  
  • Support HR audits and compliance reviews by maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.  
  • Assist with special projects focused on process improvement, employee engagement, and operational excellence.  
  • Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders while managing competing priorities and deadlines.  
  • Demonstrate initiative and work independently in a hybrid and remote work environment. 

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $20 to $20. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program. Hospitality, Operations Management, Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, Facilities Management, Business, or related majors preferred.
  • Rising juniors and seniors preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential through campus involvement, prior work experience, or extracurricular activities.
  • Strong verbal, written, and professional communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by operations.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
