Job Description
Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the hourly associates on the Catering team assigned to them. Assists with the planning, organizing and execution of Catering Events across Campus. May work independently on events if necessary.
Compensation Data
COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $25.00 to $25.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
- Greets and serves customers in a courteous, efficient manner
- Serves meals and beverages in accordance with catering contract and protocol
- Load and unload event equipment into catering vehicles, following all truck safety procedures in compliance with DOT regulations. Responsible for driving vehicles across campus to complete events in a timely manner
- Displays excellent guest service and maintains a well-groomed, neat appearance
- Properly ensures and assists in setting up assigned rooms (tables, buffets, linens, utensils, cups, plates, etc.)
- Properly ensures and assists in setting up service stations
- Create and use contract and pull sheet to prepare for events (gather items needed for list)
- Ensures any food markers and allergy signs are on tables
- Serves guest when needed with hot and cold beverages as requested
- Serves the food as requested by client
- Maintains a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment
- Ensures silver is polished
- Ensures the replenishment of buffets, serving stations, and beverage stations as needed
- Clears plates and other items from table as guest finishes
- Ensures all dishware are properly washed and returned to proper storage after event
- Ensures room is cleared and reset following event
- Ensures proper return and storage of unused products and items
- Executes side jobs and other duties as assigned my Management
- Reports non-working, damaged or malfunctioning equipment to Manager in a timely manner
- Maintains responsible alcohol service certification and any other necessary certifications.
- Assists co-workers whenever needed and any additional tasks assigned by Management
- Responsible for making sure staff is being productive during down time
- Maintain positive interaction with coworkers and customers so that efficient and quality service is provided to our guests
- Be aware of guest needs, assist when possible or refer them to a manager who can assist with their requests
- Report client issues/concerns to Management immediately if needed or within a reasonable timeframe
- Share the responsibility for a safe work environment with your team
- Understand all safety regulations of your operation including required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Adhere to JMU Dining safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- Report safety hazards discovered in the location to management immediately
- Report all incidents/accidents while working to your manager immediately

Qualifications
- Lifting: Requires ability to lift up to _40 lbs frequently
- Standing: May stand up to _7__ hours at a time
- Carrying/Pushing/Pulling: Up to _200_ lbs frequently
- Perform Repetitive Motion with arms or hands: Periodically
Minimum Education/Certification - High School Diploma/GED
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
