Job Description

The Custodial Associate for the Bradshaw Fitness Center is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and guests. This position plays a key role in supporting daily fitness center operations by ensuring high-traffic areas, locker rooms, and equipment spaces are cleaned and maintained to established standards.

Job Responsibilities

• • Clean and sanitize fitness center areas including workout floors, locker rooms, restrooms, offices, and common spaces
  • Disinfect fitness equipment and high-touch surfaces throughout the shift
  • Restock restroom and locker room supplies (paper products, soap, empty towel bins etc.)
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and ensure proper disposal
  • Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
  • Follow all custodial procedures, safety guidelines, and chemical handling standards
  • Provide friendly and professional interactions with fitness center patrons and staff
  • Support special cleanings, events, or operational needs as assigned

  Schedule

  • Intermediate Shift: 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
  • Must be reliable and punctual; some flexibility may be required during peak usage or events

Qualifications

• • Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required (training provided)
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working in a high-traffic, active environment
  • Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented

  Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and remain on feet for extended periods
