Job Description
The Custodial Associate for the Bradshaw Fitness Center is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and guests. This position plays a key role in supporting daily fitness center operations by ensuring high-traffic areas, locker rooms, and equipment spaces are cleaned and maintained to established standards.
Job Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize fitness center areas including workout floors, locker rooms, restrooms, offices, and common spaces
- Disinfect fitness equipment and high-touch surfaces throughout the shift
- Restock restroom and locker room supplies (paper products, soap, empty towel bins etc.)
- Empty trash and recycling containers and ensure proper disposal
- Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Follow all custodial procedures, safety guidelines, and chemical handling standards
- Provide friendly and professional interactions with fitness center patrons and staff
- Support special cleanings, events, or operational needs as assigned
Schedule
- Intermediate Shift: 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- Must be reliable and punctual; some flexibility may be required during peak usage or events
Qualifications

- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required (training provided)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a high-traffic, active environment
- Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and remain on feet for extended periods
