Job Description

The Marketing Manager is a key member of the Marketing Department, working on the creation and subsequent support of marketing initiatives both at a central and site level to ensure effective activation and ongoing measurement of success. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager or Director, Buying Team, Sales Team and Regional Operators to ensure initiatives and practices are launched in a timely and effective manner to drive customer happiness and in turn cash sales.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage meal plan sales and summer orientations to drive revenue
  • Manage events/programming calendar and aspects of the dining website
  • Support the development of Aramark category and brand strategies for retail, residential, and catering channels, translating insights into innovation
  • Support the planning of an annual marketing plan with strategies and tactics to refine and enhance focus categories and proprietary brands to drive continuous improvement and innovation
  • Support the creation, repositioning, and/or refresh of focus menu category and proprietary brands including menu construct, environment/trade dress, etc.
  • Support all aspects of the development and ongoing management with growth, global operating excellence, including initial sales and operator training materials, roll out plans, and tool development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including culinary, operations, sustainability, health and wellness, and sales/retention to develop, launch, assess and continuously improve dining program
  • Support development of key programs, promotions, and other related projects, as well as ongoing yearly activation programs that support focus categories and proprietary brands
  • Tracks and reports initiative results against these objectives and refines program where needed to attain required operating results while managing budget
  • Manages other projects including timelines, project plans, program administration, etc.
  • Oversees student intern program

Additional Job Functions:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended time periods, up to 6 hours
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal directions
  • Cross-train at other stations at the location
  • Work in other areas or departments as neededCompletion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the Aramark management team

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, food service experience is beneficial
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, nutrition, food science, or business
  • Strong project management experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Must be able to efficiently utilize social media and MS Office to accomplish work tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills including strong writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
