Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate demonstrates capability across the following dimensions:
Leadership
Establish full ownership and accountability for Refreshments operations (vending, micro-markets, and office coffee service) and the financial performance of multiple Market Centers, accounts, and routes. Model strong leadership behaviors and ensure high standards of safety, food safety, asset integrity, and service execution. Coach and mentor leaders and frontline teams by creating clarity around route execution, inventory discipline, asset accuracy, and service expectations, clearly defining both what must be achieved and how. Identify, develop, and retain top talent; recognize performance; and lead district and Market Center leadership meetings. Ensure consistent compliance with OSHA, food safety, sanitation, and warehouse safety standards.
Client Relationship
Build and maintain strong client partnerships to deliver exceptional Refreshments experiences and mutually beneficial business outcomes. Proactively identify client needs related to consumer experience, product mix, pricing, equipment performance, and service cadence, and communicate progress effectively. Understand contractual obligations and identify opportunities for menu innovation, micro-market expansion, equipment upgrades, and service enhancements.
Partner closely with Sales at all levels by providing operational and financial insight, supporting pre-sale assessments, reviewing and approving local deal economics, ensuring mobilization readiness, and delivering strong post-sale execution, without direct responsibility for closing sales. Maintain a clear understanding of how deals impact revenue, margins, operating costs, and overall P&L performance. Support new business, expansions, and retention efforts in partnership with Sales, Operations, and Finance. Ensure teams consistently complete client and consumer satisfaction surveys and act on results.
Financial Performance
Drive revenue growth through strong execution, client retention, and expansion support while managing district budgets with discipline around labor, product costs, shrink, and asset utilization. Ensure accuracy and ownership of district-level P&L statements. Use Refreshments-specific systems (e.g., SF, FADL, inventory, and route performance tools) to manage performance. Analyze trends in R&R, margins, days on hand, product mix, and shrink; educate leaders on the financial levers that drive profitability. Evaluate and approve local deal economics to ensure alignment with district financial targets.
Productivity
Lead Market Center and field managers in executing Refreshments labor models, route optimization, and productivity initiatives aligned with corporate priorities. Drive value through efficient operations, disciplined cost control, and proactive profit management. Ensure consistent application of operating standards with emphasis on route efficiency, preventive maintenance, warehouse execution, service cadence, and asset accuracy. Understand the Refreshments supply chain and ensure use of authorized suppliers, approved products, and compliant equipment.
Compliance
Ensure a safe, compliant environment across warehouses, routes, and client sites. Enforce all applicable policies, laws, and regulations, including food safety, equipment safety, DOT/MVR, asset security, data privacy, and wage and hour compliance.
