Job Description
Responsible for the effective daily coordination and monitoring of service calls and patient rooms through timely and accurate dispatch and management of customer requests and efficient assignments of personnel utilizing various hospital and Microsoft office applications. Ensures positive patient, customer and EVS employee's satisfaction, proper priority standard utilization, program quality standards, performance improvements, and personnel productivity. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and for established policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
· Ensures accurate and timely dispatch of EVS service calls/requests; ensures maximum staff productivity.
· Directs the activity of EVS front line associates functions, ensuring timely completion of tasks; monitors procedures related to availability and completion task, follows-up on issues related to service and operations.
· Functions as a liaison between EVS and other departments.
· Resolves problems related to patient, visitor, staff or employee complaints; resolves problems associated with EVS services; recommends and participates in the solutions of on-going problems or trends.
· Maintains a safe, healthy, orderly and pleasant work environment for staff; ensures dispatch equipment is safe and in good, clean working condition; maintains adequate levels of supplies and equipment. Ensures proper operation of FacilityFitPro hardware, software programs, page and phone handling systems; is able to troubleshoot and work with Information Services.
· Understands and applies knowledge of basic EVS concepts, infection control practices, and proper body mechanics. Functions as an Environmental Services Tech as needed.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must have demonstrated good performance; if in customer service, must have good quality scores.
- Excellent customer service skills a must.
- High level of organizational skills, integrity and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal skills working with internal and external customers.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
