Job Description
This skilled position involves performing scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on industrial equipment and vehicles, including forklifts, electric and LP aerial lifts, personnel carriers, and automobiles/trucks. The role requires diagnosing, disassembling, and overhauling electrical systems, motors, drive systems, rear ends, brakes, and other assemblies. The position does require personal tools. It involves physical activities like lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, climbing, and handling objects.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose failures of vehicles and disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary.
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on fleet vehicles.
- Answer service calls.
- Maintain vehicle records as required.
- Maintain and repair fleet equipment.
- Fill out all necessary documents.
- Maintain records such as daily checklists and pre-trip inspections.

Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment.
- Experience with hydraulic and brake systems.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance program
- Certification in automotive, forklift, or mechanical and diesel.
- 4 years of experience with forklift mechanics.
- Experience with computer instrumentation, including desktop and handheld computers for diagnostics and maintenance.
- Familiarity with manufacturing standards and electronics.
- Experience driving trucks requiring a Class A or B CDL.
- Experience repairing heavy trucks, including brakes, tires, and engines.
- Knowledge of internal combustible/diesel engines.
- Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance
- Must be able to work all shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate consistent adherence to supervisory and management directives.
