We are looking for an adaptable and strategic Human Resources Manager to join our team and lead HR functions within a dynamic and constantly evolving workforce. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and is skilled at managing change, resolving complex employee issues, and driving HR initiatives that support a fluid and diverse workforce. The ideal candidate will be organized, flexible, and experienced in all aspects of HR management, from training and onboarding to employee relations, compliance, and workforce development.

Summer days in Alaska stretch nearly endlessly, with up to 20 hours of daylight on the Summer Solstice. Spanning 6.2 million acres, Denali National Park & Preserve is home to Denali, the highest peak in North America, and attracts over half a million visitors annually. Conveniently accessible by road—4.5 hours from Anchorage and 2 hours from Fairbanks—this breathtaking area offers daily bus services along the park road throughout the warm summer months, providing opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, climbing, and camping.

Job Responsibilities
1. Training and Onboarding
Fine-tune and execute effective training strategies that develop talent and meet the organization’s evolving needs.
Oversee the onboarding process for approximately 250 international & domestic seasonal staff, ensuring new employees transition smoothly into the community and through our hiring process.
2. Employee Relations and Workforce Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for employees, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts with sensitivity and discretion.
Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, fostering a culture of open communication and trust.
Design and implement employee engagement strategies that enhance morale, promote inclusivity, and support a collaborative workplace.
3. Talent Development and Performance Management
Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and evaluations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Coach managers on leadership practices that motivate and engage.
4. Policy Implementation and Compliance
Implement and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices that reflect the organization’s core values.
Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant labor laws and employment regulations, adjusting policies as needed in response to workforce changes.
Maintain accurate records of employee information, benefits, and compliance documentation, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Coordinate all general administration, comprehensive case management, and compliance with all related policies and employment laws.
5. HR & Payroll Management and Process Improvement
Lead department of three coordinators to efficiently manage employee life-cycle changes, housing and activities and payroll management.
Develop innovative HR practices that improve efficiency, enhance employee satisfaction, and drive results.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
Experience:
• 3+ years of HR management or related experience, preferably in a dynamic or fast-paced industry.
• Demonstrated success in managing change and working with a fluctuating workforce, including contingent or seasonal employees.
Skills:
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building strong relationships.
• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.

• Experience with workforce planning and scaling HR operations.
