Title:  Union Supply Menu Analyst

Job Description

The Commissary Menu Pricing Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of commissary menu development, revisions, and updates for municipal and state clients.  The Analyst will work directly with Operators and Commissary support leaders to understand financial goals, client requirements and resident preferences.

Job Responsibilities

• Review all assigned executed client contracts to identify:

  • Contract requirements

  • Schedules for price increases

  • Replacement of discontinued items

  • Addition and/or removal of commissary menu products

• Maintain and track schedules for menu changes for municipal and state clients in Riskonnect (or applicable system).

• Interact with Commissary Managers and Operations Support Team to coordinate menu product additions/removals requested by facilities.

• Analyze and correct internal commissary master menu products to ensure pricing margins are appropriate and adjusted by account.

• Research and monitor:

  • Product price increases

  • Product discontinuances and replacements

  • Maintain a tracking system for future menu changes

• Maintain and update:

  • Master product lists (ensuring accuracy and no duplication)

  • Library of Master Menus with secure back-up copies

  • Agency/Client restriction menus within ordering systems (with secure back-up copies)

• Monitor product price increases and make timely recommendations where allowed.

• Disseminate menu update information promptly to ensure:

  • Customer agreements are updated

  • Inventory systems are updated

  • Facility ordering software systems are updated

  • Local menus are distributed to customers

• Participate in meetings regarding upcoming menu changes and related topics.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree

• Ability to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed team environment

• Strong analytical skills, including:

  • Understanding of retail pricing structures

  • Proficiency with percentage calculations

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly

• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

• Demonstrated ability to focus and manage multiple priorities

• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

• Strong communication skills with proven success in fast-paced environments

• Ability to influence without formal authority

• Commitment to developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done
