Job Description
This is a construction and capital projects leadership role responsible for delivering large-scale projects from initial concept and design through construction, commissioning, and operational turnover.
The Sr. Project Manager - Construction & Capital Projects provides overall leadership and end-to-end accountability for major Aramark Nexus workforce community projects, from initial concept through construction and operational turnover. This role owns project scope, budget, schedule, design, construction, risk, procurement, and stakeholder coordination, and serves as the primary point of accountability for successful project delivery. The Senior Project Manager provides leadership and direction to Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Controls/Coordinators supporting the project.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager, Construction Project Manager, Capital Projects Manager, or Program Manager to lead complex, high-value development and construction projects across the United States. Aramark Nexus projects operate in fast-moving environments supporting workforce communities, large-scale infrastructure, mission-critical facilities, data centers, advanced manufacturing, hospitality development, and rapid-deployment construction programs. The Senior Project Manager will work across design, construction, procurement, project controls, operations, and executive leadership to move major projects from concept through successful operational turnover.
Travel Requirements
Up to 75%, including extended assignments at project locations throughout the United States.
Job Responsibilities
- Own overall project scope, budget, schedule, and execution strategy for major, complex, and often multi-site projects.
- Lead project initiation and planning, including business cases, charters, feasibility evaluations, and Work Breakdown Structures.
- Establish project governance, stakeholder communication protocols, and escalation paths for significant risks and decisions.
- Direct design management activities, including coordination of architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors, and facilitation of owner/operational design reviews.
- Oversee development and maintenance of project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reporting, and approve corrective actions for cost exposure.
- Oversee master project schedules, critical path activities, and recovery strategies, and hold contractors and project teams accountable to milestones.
- Direct procurement strategy, including scopes of work, RFPs, bid evaluations, negotiations, and contractor recommendations for construction, professional services, and long-lead items.
- Lead construction management activities, including contractor coordination, site visits, field observations, and resolution of field conflicts and performance issues.
- Maintain and govern the project risk register, driving mitigation and contingency strategies and escalating significant risks to leadership.
- Prepare and deliver project status reporting to leadership and stakeholders, and lead project, design, and coordination meetings.
- Direct commissioning and operational readiness activities, including inspections, testing, startup, systems acceptance, and coordination with Nexus operations teams.
- Lead project closeout, including final inspections, punch-list completion, financial reconciliation, closeout documentation, and lessons-learned reviews.
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Controls/Coordinators assigned to the project.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- Significant experience (typically 10+ years) managing complex, multidisciplinary capital projects from planning through construction and operational turnover.
- Demonstrated responsibility for significant capital projects in construction, infrastructure, facilities, hospitality development, data centers, advanced manufacturing, or workforce housing environments.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Experience supporting mission-critical facilities, hyperscale data centers, large campus developments, or rapid-deployment/accelerated construction programs strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with project management platforms, scheduling software, document management systems, and financial/dashboard reporting tools.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and executive-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-moving project environments.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Primarily active field and office environment; requires the ability to walk active construction sites, including uneven terrain, and to use required personal protective equipment. Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods in a corporate/office setting. Frequent domestic travel and extended on-site assignments at project locations are required.
