Job Description
The Catering Services Manager is a leadership position which leads all aspects of catering solutions and special events at the location. This position will lead the Catering team to complete events or catering delivery requests in line with customer expectations and service standards.

Compensation Data
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
• Hiring, training, and supervising catering staff.
• Schedule catering staff to forecast and service standards to maximize customer satisfaction and cost efficiencies.
• Adhere to and reinforce all standards, policies & procedures
• Assist team in developing lasting relationships with customers to retain business and growth
• Sets goals & delegates tasks to improve performance
• Lead and train new & current catering staff
• Leads shifts and actively participates in the servicing of events
• Overseeing seating arrangements, the serving of meals and beverages, and the clearing of tables.
• Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints
• Understand the impact of operations on the overall success of an event and coordinate activities to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Maintain established safety and sanitation levels.
• Sets hourly staff goals and delegates tasks to improve department performance.
• Sets a positive example for guest relations.
• Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
• Prepares Post-Event Summary, detailing the function and comments of the host.
• Conducts event debrief meetings with operations coordinator, sales manager, culinary team, and catering services director following each event.\
• Manages alcohol inventory and ordering in accordance with NYSLA.
• Monitoring the availability of catering stock and supplies and ordering replenishments.
• Cross-train and work catering events on and off site as needed.
• Conducts monthly department meetings with hourly staff to review goals, performance, and concerns.
• Orders Day Permits, as needed, in a timely manner following all NYS regulations.
• Ensure bartenders are TiPS certified
Qualifications
• Requires at least 2 years of experience
• Prior experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
• Previous experience in high volume events, hospitality and catering preferred
• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Available to work event-based hours
• Must have excellent communications skills
• Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
