Title:  Lead Attendant - Heat Relief - Forklift Operator - Chicago-OCS

Aramark is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Temporary Lead Attendant to support our Heat Relief program during the summer season. This role serves as the primary on-site point of contact, providing informal leadership and coordination for the on-the-ground team while partnering closely with an off-site manager.

In addition to operating a forklift and maintaining beverage stock levels, this position plays a key role in ensuring daily execution, communicating priorities, and escalating needs or issues in real time.

This is a temporary, part-time seasonal role working on select dates from May through September.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $25.00 to $27.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

Operational Execution

• Operate a forklift safely to transport beverages to designated cooler locations
• Unload, stock, and replenish daily inventory at customer site locations
• Rotate products using FIFO (First In, First Out) to ensure freshness and minimize waste
• Conduct routine inventory checks and maintain appropriate stock levels
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage and cooler areas
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures

Lead / Point-of-Contact Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site liaison between the field team and off-site leadership
• Coordinate daily priorities and workflow to ensure efficient execution of stocking activities
• Provide informal guidance and support to team members on-site (no direct reports)
• Communicate real-time updates on inventory levels, service needs, and operational challenges
• Escalate issues, risks, or customer concerns promptly to leadership
• Support onboarding or direction of temporary/seasonal team members as needed

Customer & Communication

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customer contacts on-site
• Represent Aramark with professionalism and a solutions-oriented mindset
• Communicate observations such as service gaps or competitor activity

Qualifications

• Must be available to work flexible, part-time hours, including some weekends
• Previous forklift experience required (certification preferred)
• Ability to lift and move cases of beverages (up to 25 lbs)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and take initiative
• Prior experience in customer service or team-based environments preferred
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Willingness to travel to nearby locations on short notice if needed

This role may have physical demands, including but not limited to lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
