Reporting to the Culinary Services Manager, you’ll take a hands-on approach in focusing on team development, culinary expertise, safety protocol, and client relations. Our Chef Manager will also play a key role in helping us meet budget requirements and execute company-delivered programs.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $60,000.00  to $65,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.  This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

Patient Food Service Operations

  • Manage daily patient food service operations in compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Conduct regular patient and departmental rounds to assess service quality and address opportunities for improvement.
  • Promptly address patient and client feedback and make adjustments as necessary
  • Lead and support patient service staff to ensure meals are accurately prepared, assembled, and delivered in a timely manner
  • Monitor, document, and enforce safety and sanitation compliance.
  • Supervise tray line operations and/or room service programs to ensure quality, efficiency, and accuracy.

Leadership

  • Leverage Aramark’s coaching model to engage, develop, and maximize team member performance.
  • Recognize and reward employee contributions to build engagement and morale.
  • Ensure individual and team performance consistently meets operational goals, service standards, and client expectations.
  • Plan and lead daily team huddles to communicate priorities, reinforce standards, and drive accountability.
  • Uphold safety and sanitation standards across all areas of operation.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong client and customer relationships that support partnership and business objectives.
  • Proactively identify client needs and communicate operational updates and performance outcomes.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service aligned with Aramark’s standard service model.
  • Continuous improvement of patient dining selection in partnership with expectation of the client

Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant environment for clients, customers, and employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and laws, including safety, health, wage, and hour requirements
  • Ensure team members are fully trained, competent, and equipped to execute their responsibilities.

This is an on-site role with rotating weekends

Qualifications

  • Requires 2 or more years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining setting, or full-service restaurant 

  • Requires 2 or more years of management experience, preferrably in a union setting

  • Culinary degree preferred 

  • Must be ServSafe Manager certified or willing to obtain within 30 days
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession 

  • Requires experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems 

  • Requires oral, reading and written communication skills
