Title:  Mocs Dining Ambassador

Job Description

The Marketing Dining Ambassador serves as the student liaison between students and campus dining.  This position will lead and execute marketing programming and initiatives to increase student satisfaction within the dining program.  The Student Dining Ambassador must be a student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain professional experience and build your resume on campus.

Job Responsibilities

Assist in Dining Information tabling events and activities around campus to educate and sell/communicate meal plan offerings.

Be knowledgeable in the meal plan structure, monetary value, and overall benefits of eating on campus.

Distribute marketing material and promotional items.

Present information to customers and answer questions regarding dining services.

Survey students and retain constructive feedback to improve dining services.

Lead the development and execution of marketing events during key times in the Fall & Spring semester.

Assist all of the team with content creation and display on graphics in Canva.

Develop social media plan and execution strategy for promoting dining information, events and promotions.

Demonstrates guest service skills

Experience using Canva is preferred but not required

Comfortable using social media platforms and creating content on Instagram

Marketing, business or communications major is preferred but not required

Strong work ethic

Must be able to work 10 hours or more per week

Qualifications

•    Previous food service experience preferred
•    Must have or acquire food safety certification
•    Demonstrates guest service skills

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
