Job Description
Aramark Healthcare is hiring a Driver II (Resident Transportation Driver) in Chattahoochee, Florida to safely transport residents to medical appointments, community activities, church services, and other approved destinations using State of Florida vehicles. This position requires a valid driver's license, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent reliability. Drivers work a regular Monday-Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with frequent early departures or late returns depending on appointment schedules. Team members also participate in a rotating on-call schedule for evenings, weekends, holidays, and Sunday transportation coverage, with on-call pay provided. This role is ideal for candidates with experience as a shuttle driver, transportation driver, patient transport driver, medical transportation driver, bus driver, or delivery driver who enjoy helping others and providing dependable service. Compensation for this position is $17.50 per hour.
Job Responsibilities
• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, community activities, and other approved destinations using State of Florida vehicles.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining safe and defensive driving practices.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation.
• Assist riders when entering and exiting vehicles when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage records, and trip documentation.
• Monitor vehicle condition and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Fuel, clean, and maintain assigned vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Communicate with supervisors and dispatch personnel regarding schedule changes or transportation needs.
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage for after-hours, holiday, and weekend transportation services.
• Provide Sunday transportation support for church services on a rotating basis.
• Deliver professional, respectful customer service while interacting with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Follow all DOT, facility, State of Florida, and Aramark safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Required
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, and any applicable driving record review.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with flexibility for early departures and late returns.
• Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and Sunday coverage.
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, healthcare staff, and visitors.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, walk, and assist with transportation-related duties as needed.
Preferred
• CDL (Class B or C) license.
• Previous experience as a shuttle driver, transportation driver, patient transport driver, bus driver, or similar position.
• Experience working in healthcare, senior living, behavioral health, hospitality, or customer service environments.
• Knowledge of vehicle inspections, transportation logs, and safe driving practices.
