Job Description
Aramark is hiring a Custodial Services Worker to join our Facilities Management team at Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, Florida. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment by performing daily custodial and housekeeping duties throughout the facility. Responsibilities include cleaning patient and staff areas, handling waste removal, operating housekeeping equipment, and reporting maintenance concerns. This position works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST, with rotating weekends and holidays. Job Responsibilities
• Perform daily custodial and housekeeping services throughout hospital and institutional facilities.
• Clean and sanitize floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients, visitors, staff, and guests.
• Operate, clean, and properly store custodial and housekeeping equipment.
• Collect, transport, and dispose of trash and waste according to established procedures.
• Follow OSHA, facility, state, federal, and Aramark safety standards.
• Report maintenance issues and facility concerns through established work order processes.
• Use cleaning chemicals and supplies safely and according to instructions.
• Assist with securing areas by locking and unlocking designated spaces as required.
• Wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing assigned duties.
Qualifications
Required
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST, with rotating weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work with cleaning products and chemicals.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, lift, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
• Ability to maintain a professional and respectful attitude in a healthcare environment.
Preferred
• Previous custodial, janitorial, environmental services (EVS), housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience.
• Experience working in a hospital, healthcare, institutional, or large commercial facility.
• Experience using floor care
• equipment, cleaning tools, and housekeeping machinery.
