Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Late Night Food Service Supervisor to oversee the evening and late-night operations at our Observatory Hill dining location. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent communication skills who can ensure the smooth operation of the food service team, maintain high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction, and manage all closing procedures. This role is crucial for providing a positive and safe experience for our customers and staff during off-peak hours.
Job Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and motivate a team of food service workers during late-night shifts.

Ensure all food preparation, handling, and service adhere to strict health and safety standards.

Manage daily cash reconciliation, register closeouts, and prepare deposits.

Address and resolve any customer concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner.

Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and assist with inventory counts.

Oversee and perform all necessary closing duties, including cleaning, sanitizing equipment, and securing the facility.

Assist with food preparation, serving, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area and kitchen.

Communicate effectively with management to report on shift performance, challenges, and staff issues.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a food service or supervisory role.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures is required; ServSafe certification is a plus.

Ability to work a flexible late-night schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Proven problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.

Basic computer skills for operating point-of-sale systems and other software.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.

Dexterity to handle and operate kitchen equipment and utensils.
