Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Ticket Sales Representative to join our team at SpiritLine Cruises & Fort Sumter Tours. This is a full-time, in-person role responsible for assisting guests with ticket purchases, providing information about offerings, and delivering an exceptional customer experience from the moment guests arrive.
Job Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with ticket purchases for harbor cruises, tours, and special events
- Provide accurate and engaging information about cruise schedules, pricing, and onboard experiences
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions, handle cash, and issue tickets
- Manage and maintain the booking system, including creating, modifying, and canceling reservations
- Monitor cruise capacity in real time to prevent overbooking and ensure accurate passenger counts
- Reconcile online, phone, and in-person bookings to ensure system accuracy
- Input customer information accurately and securely into reservation software
- Troubleshoot booking discrepancies and coordinate with management to resolve issues
- Answer customer inquiries in person and over the phone in a professional manner
- Upsell additional experiences, packages, or upgrades when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming ticketing area
- Coordinate with dock staff and crew to ensure smooth boarding processes
- Handle customer concerns or complaints with professionalism and escalate when necessary

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous customer service or retail experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math and computer proficiency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and peak tourism seasons
