Job Description
The Hotel F&B Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing the procurement of food, beverages, and related supplies LEGOLAND CA Hotel food and beverage purchases. The primary duties of this role include ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of products, maintaining inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring product quality and compliance with food safety standards.

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $22.00 to $23.50. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Compensation Data
The hourly rate or salary range for this position ranges from $22.00/hr to $23.50, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if applicable to the position). This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Job Responsibilities
- Work effectively with team members to deliver exceptional customer service, focusing on creating a positive experience for children and all guests.
- Place, review and approve orders for all hotel food and beverage purchases/ items based on the needs of the business.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs based on usage trends and prevent stockouts or overstocking. Upkeep ordering forms, PAR levels, and purchasing methods of all vendors.
- Maintenance of COG reports, Yellow Dog inventory system and End of Month inventory process including counts, adjustments and data input.
- Communicate with the Hotel Food and Beverage management team regarding PAR levels, stocks, usage and shortages. Help manage the food and beverage budget by ensuring purchases align with financial targets, including managing waste and loss.
- Oversee the inspection of deliveries to ensure that products meet quality standards, food safety regulations, and health department guidelines. Maintain accurate records of all orders, deliveries, and payments.
- Research and identify potential suppliers for food, beverages, and other necessary goods while analyzing pricing and market trends to find cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing quality.
- Maintain strong relationships with current and potential suppliers to ensure consistent product availability and quality.
- Execute proper storage of all perishables and follow FIFO by tracking product expiration dates and ensuring the proper rotation of inventory to avoid waste.
- Follow best housekeeping practices when maintaining the upkeep of all storage location, walk in refers, freezers and workspaces and back areas.
- Reporting of needed repairs and verification of cooler temperature functionality.
- Work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and FOH managers to understand their needs and ensure product availability. Collaborate with finance and operations teams to align on purchasing goals and budget constraints.
- Work in a fast-paced and multi-task environment with varying temperatures, both indoor and outdoor.
- Assist in operations during peak times, catering and special events as needed.
- Adhere to the uniform policy. Adheres to Aramark and client companies, San Diego County, and OSHA safety policies and procedures for proper food safety, sanitation, storage and disposal.

Qualifications
- Prior experience: at least one year of purchasing, inventory management, or a related role in the food service industry.
- Manage multiple suppliers, orders, and inventories.
- Ability to analyze cost trends, forecast needs, and ensure budgeting adherence.
- Understanding of health codes, food safety standards, and best practices in food storage and handling.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Able to pass a Food Handler certification exam
- Sufficient education or training to read, write, count and follow verbal and written instructions
- Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure.
- Available to work holidays and weekends as well as shorter or longer hours due to business volume
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and stooping.
- Expect prolonged sitting, and repetitive movements at desk.
- Expect constant walking and standing during shifts/ during peak times
- Occasional crawling and climbing.
- Frequently lift and carry items weighing 20 to 40 pounds, including lifting trays over the shoulder.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- The role will require wearing uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work inside kitchen area, interacting with heated equipment, various foods, loud noise, chemicals and other at risk conditions.
- Exposure to extreme temperature changes.
