Job Description
The Director of Sales and Distribution is responsible for leading the Field Sales Team and managing Distributor relationships for IPS Rebates. This role requires creating short- and long-term sales strategies that target K12 Market segment, in addition to developing new Distributor partnerships and managing existing Distributor relationships. This position will require working cross-functionally with Marketing to deliver superior value propositions to prospective customers and distributor partners. This position is a senior role in the IPS Rebates organization and will play a critical part in the long-term success of the company. This job will initially lead a team of 3 people and is a new role in the IPS Rebates organization.
Job Responsibilities
Sales Leadership and Growth
- Develops and executes the annual IPS sales plan to drive long-term growth and retention with key audiences including both IPS Rebates Members (Primarily K12 School Districts) and Foodservice Distributors.
- Sales Leadership -
- Effectively utilizes analytical insights to ensure maximized efficiency of the sales process to meet or exceed annual sales targets.
- Deliver sales coaching and performance assessments to support consistent motivation, recognition and accountability for the Sales Team.
- Administer the IPS Sales pipeline using Salesforce, including monthly projections.
- Supports customer retention via business reviews, conference attendance and inspiring messaging.
- Collaborates with the Director of Marketing to deliver sales materials, targeted campaigns and actionable lead-generating analytics to the Sales Team (Sales Enablement toolkit).
- Collaborates with the Director of Marketing to drive member engagement to the Smart Rewards Member portal and deliver Field Sales and member feedback for continuous growth and improvement of Smart Rewards.
- Develops strategic Distributor targets to create new partnerships -
- Evaluate ROI of new distributor partners; projected purchase volume and revenue in addition to ongoing expenses to ensure profitability.
- Leverage established Foodservice industry connections to promote IPS and establish new business.
- Define and Negotiate business agreement (Data Transfer Agreement) if applicable.
- Maintains existing distributor partner relationships and deliver annual business reviews to ensure strong connections.
- Develop, Deliver and Maintain the Distributor Value Proposition.
- Review weekly and monthly data reporting
- Promptly address interruptions in data reporting
Events, Conferences, Tradeshow and Association Strategy
- Leads the strategy development and objective setting, of the School Nutrition Association State Conferences and other lead-generation events.
- With Marketing, leads the relationship with the School Nutrition Association, maximizing the IPS Rebates Patron sponsorship.
- Attends defined conferences each year to support the Sales Team and expand brand and market presence
IPS Leadership Team
- Contribute Foodservice and K12 market knowledge, a strategic mind-set and creative thinking to the IPS Leadership team.
- Liaison with internal corporate stakeholders to support objectives
Qualifications
- Minimum Seven (7) years of proven Sales Leadership
- Minimum Seven (7) years Foodservice Sales experience (K12 segment preferred), including operators and broadline distribution management
- Experience in developing short and long-term sales strategies.
- Experience navigating broadline distribution culture and decision-making processes.
- Financial acumen, budget development and people management skills.
- Above average computer skills, specifically in Microsoft office applications - MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills. Experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and oral.

This is a work from home role with travel, preferred locations are CA, IL, OH, PA , NC or SC.
Benefits
COMPENSATION: The hourly rate or salary range for this position is $135,000 to $150,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
