Job Description

The Housekeeper – Employee Housing & Community Spaces is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of employee housing common areas and designated community facilities. This role supports a safe, comfortable, and welcoming living environment for employees and assists the Housing Coordinator with housing-related operational needs.

 

Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.  

Job Responsibilities

Clean and maintain employee housing common areas, including recreation rooms, laundry rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and shared spaces.Clean and sanitize bathrooms and laundry facilities located in the general store.Restock supplies such as paper products, soaps, and cleaning materials as needed.Assist with preparing employee housing units and common areas for move-ins, including deep cleaning, setup, and inspection readiness.Assist with cleaning and turnover of housing spaces during employee move-outs.Support the Housing Coordinator with laundry services, organizing housing supplies, and other assigned duties.Follow established cleaning schedules, safety protocols, and sanitation standards.Identify and report maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns to the Housing Coordinator or management.

Qualifications

Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, particularly in housing, hospitality, or community facilities.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.Positive attitude and willingness to assist with a variety of housing-related tasks.Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment (up to approximately 30 lbs).

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Work is performed in employee housing facilities, common spaces, and community buildings.
  • Schedule may include weekends, holidays, or flexible hours based on housing needs.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional housekeeping or housing-related duties as assigned to support employee housing operations.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
