Title:  Stockroom Supervisor - Western Kentucky Univ.

Job Description

The Stockroom Supervisor receives, organizes, stores, tracks, and delivers inventory and product across multiple campus locations while overseeing the Stockroom Team. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide guidance to the Stockroom Team
• Unload food and supply shipments from delivery trucks
• Store perishable and non-perishable goods in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage
• Conduct routine physical inventory counts and log stock levels
• Inspect goods for damage, defects, or incorrect temperatures
• Transport supplies and product safely to kitchens or other storage areas 
• Dispose of trash, break down cardboard boxes, and clear empty crates
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
• Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
• Maintains excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation

Qualifications

• Must have previous supervisory experience in a similar role
• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions 
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
• Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic
• Maintain emotional control under stress
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
• Strong organizational skills

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
