Job Description

This role involves managing daily catering activities, ensuring exceptional customer service, and coordinating with staff to deliver high-quality events. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate catering staff to ensure efficient and professional service at all events.
• Oversee the preparation, setup, and breakdown of catering functions, ensuring all events meet client expectations and company standards.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, staff, and kitchen personnel to ensure smooth event execution.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate supply orders, and manage equipment for catering events.
• Train, mentor, and schedule catering team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Address and resolve any issues or concerns that arise during events promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Assist in menu planning, event logistics, and special requests to meet client needs.
• Provide accurate post-event reporting, including feedback, labor tracking, and inventory reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, food service, or event management required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including scheduling and event management software.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor or off-site event locations.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1 year banquet/wait staff experience
  • Ability to carry at least 4 meals on a tray at any given time
  • Bartending experience
  • TIPS Certified
