Job Description
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for leading the HR Function and supporting a team of HR Professionals across a large national multi-site portfolio. This position leads all aspects of service delivery and provides information, mentorship, and direction to the team. This position reports directly to the Director, myHR, and will work with the Director to ensure work is performed in accordance with operational guidelines and within established service level agreements (SLAs).
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for development of a team of HR Professionals both direct and indirect reports.
- Responsible for supporting frontline managers with talent management related activities to ensure employee development and engagement.
- Supports frontline management in determining staffing needs. Recommends and assists in implementing recruiting, hiring and retention strategies.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local laws concerning human resources (i.e., Federal and State Minimum Wage Laws, Affirmative Action, Immigration Reform Control Act, Equal Employment Opportunity Act etc.).
- In conjunction corporate and regional human resource staff, may respond to charges of discrimination.
- In conjunction with risk management staff, administers policies and procedures for a safe workplace. Works with frontline managers and risk management staff in developing region specific programs. Support frontline to ensures all accidents and injuries are reported to the appropriate parties.
- Responsible for development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Responsible for developing department goals, objectives and systems.
- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Assists frontline managers with hiring processes and systems.
- Supports LOB leaders with hiring and new business conversions.
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.

Qualifications
- Located in the Central or Eastern Time Zone preferred
- HR/SPHR certification preferred.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Human Resources planning and organizational development experience desired.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent preferred.
- Requires at least 8 years’ experience in a Human Resource Generalist role. Along with 2-4 years’ experience in Human Resource management.
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel are required.
- Knowledge of EEO laws and general HR policies.
- Proven ability to effectively interact, communicate, and consult with multiple levels of management on a routine basis.
- Strong analytical skills are required.
- Ability to train and make presentations will also be required.

- Organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Must take initiative to improve processes as needed.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
