Job Description

The Marketing Intern will support the execution of marketing initiatives during summer programing, helping to create an engaging and informative experience for incoming students and their families. This role assists with content creation, event promotion, and on-site engagement to drive awareness fo dining services and campus resources. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and execution of marketing campaigns for New Student Orientation
• Support promotion of dining services, meal plans, and campus food locations to incoming students and families
• Create and distribute marketing materials, including flyers, signage, and digital content
• Capture photos and video content during orientaiton sessions for social media and future campaigns
• Provide on-site support at orientation events, including tabling, wayfinding, and student engagement
• Collaborate with marketing staff and campus partners to ensure consistent messaging and branding
• Help manage and schedule social media content during NSO sessions
• Tracking engagement metrics and gather feedback to evaluate campaign effectiveness

Job Responsibilities

• Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA, state, local, federal, and Aramark regulations
• Maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others
• Create engaging educational tabling
• Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
• Ensures security of company assets
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment through positive, social interactions, Demonstrate strong interpersonal comunication skills, including confident eye contact

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content creation
• Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) preferred
• Ability to work in a fast- paced team- oriented environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
• This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
