Job Description

The Branch Manager – Refreshments is responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership of a satellite branch location supporting a larger District. This role oversees route delivery execution, warehouse operations, inventory management, frontline staffing, and local client satisfaction.

As the on-site leader, the Branch Manager ensures service excellence, operational efficiency, and safety compliance, while partnering closely with the District Manager to align branch performance with broader market goals.

This position is highly hands-on and execution-focused, leading both field and facility operations within a dynamic environment.

 

This is an in-office position, and remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.

Job Responsibilities

Branch Operations Leadership

  • Lead daily branch operations across route delivery, warehouse, and service execution.
  • Ensure timely, accurate product delivery and service to all client locations.
  • Monitor route structure, service frequency, and coverage to support operational efficiency.
  • Execute company operating systems, processes, and service standards.

 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, coach, and develop frontline associates, including Route Sales Representatives, Customer Service Representatives, Service Technicians, Drivers, and Warehouse staff.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management for branch employees.
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs, route audits, and performance check-ins.
  • Reinforce safety, service, and productivity expectations.

 

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Oversee ordering, receiving, storage, and product rotation.
  • Conduct routine inventory audits and variance reviews.
  • Manage spoilage, waste, and all warehouse initiatives.
  • Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance.

 

Client & Service Execution

  • Maintain relationships with key branch clients through periodic site visits.
  • Resolve service issues, product concerns, and equipment needs.
  • Support client retention through strong operational follow-through.
  • Partner with DM on service recovery and growth opportunities.

 

Financial & Performance Support

  • Execute pricing, merchandising, and promotional programs as directed.
  • Monitor branch KPIs including:
    • Route sales & revenue contribution
    • Inventory shrink & waste
    • Service frequency compliance
    • Labor productivity
  • Support District financial performance through operational discipline.

 

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a culture of safety across routes and warehouse operations.
  • Ensure DOT, vehicle, and driver compliance where applicable.
  • Maintain OSHA, food safety, and company policy adherence.
  • Lead incident response and corrective action follow-up.

 

Administrative Execution

  • Maintain accurate operational records including:
    • Inventory logs
    • Delivery & invoice documentation
    • Driver records & DOT files
  • Utilize company systems for reporting, ordering, and performance tracking.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3–7 years of operations, route delivery, logistics, or field service leadership experience.
  • Experience in vending, micro-market, OCS, DSD, or last-mile delivery environments preferred.
  • Prior frontline supervision required.
