Job Responsibilities
- Supervising Bartenders & Bar Staff: Lead, train, and assist with scheduling bar staff, including bartenders and barbacks, ensuring they deliver excellent service.
- Staff Training: Provide training in cocktail preparation, customer service, alcohol safety, and bar equipment handling.
- Staff Motivation & Performance: Monitor performance, provide feedback, and motivate staff to maintain high levels of customer service and productivity.
- Ensuring Customer Satisfaction: Handle customer inquiries or complaints regarding drinks or service, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Creating a Positive Atmosphere: Ensure a welcoming, friendly, and energetic environment in the bar area.
- Assisting with Special Requests: Help accommodate special drink orders, dietary restrictions, or specific preferences.
Managing Bar Setup & breakdown: Oversee the setup and breakdown of bar services before and after events, ensuring everything is organized and functional.
- Coordinating with Sales team and Event Planners: Collaborate with event organizers to understand the drink requirements for conferences, conventions, or special events.
- Customizing Drink Menus: Help create themed or customized drink menus tailored to specific events or client preferences.
- Inventory Control: Maintain stock levels of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, garnishes, and supplies, and perform regular inventory checks.
- Ordering and Restocking: Assist with placing orders for beverages, garnishes and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a cost-effective approach.
- Waste Reduction: Ensure accurate reporting of inventory usage and waste, collaborating with the Bar Manager to reduce waste and control cost
- Adhering to Legal Standards: Ensure compliance with local alcohol service laws, including checking IDs and monitoring consumption.
- Maintaining Hygiene Standards: Ensure the bar area, equipment, and utensils meet cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Health & Safety Protocols: Ensure staff follows health and safety guidelines, including food handling and the safe use of bar equipment.
- Consumption Reports: Record and maintain accurate records of bar sales, payment transactions, and any discrepancies.
- Budgets & Cost Control: Help control costs, monitor bar expenses, and assist in achieving profitability targets.
Clear Communication, maintain effective communication with bar staff and other departments to ensure smooth operations during events.
- Delegating Tasks, assign duties to staff, ensuring all aspects of the bar operation run efficiently, especially during busy events.
- Problem-Solving, act quickly to address any operational challenges, from equipment failure to staff shortages.

Long Description
COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $25.00 to $27.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bartender, Captain, or Bar Supervisor in a high-volume setting, preferably in a convention center, or similar venue.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of cocktail recipes, alcohol laws, and safe alcohol service practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on maintaining a positive guest experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as events demand.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (ServSafe Alcohol) is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand and walk for long periods.
