Job Description
Aramark Property is currently recruiting a General Maintenance Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the maintenance team manager and will be responsible for general maintenance work serving the Aramark Property client portfolio. You will be tasked with a daily list of job tasks/tickets which must be completed. You should have the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. You will be required to work across many types and locations of properties and will perform various general maintenance tasks. You should have excellent timekeeping & organisational skills and ensure that you prepare correctly in advance regarding the necessary supplies and materials required by the task / ticket in question.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete multi-disciplined types of maintenance and repairs both inside and outside designated properties such as plumbing, plastering, carpentry, groundwork, and painting.
- Ensure specified standard of work is maintained and all site logs, records and documentation are kept up to date.
- Exercising a good level of initiative and independence on site to resolve issues.
- Regular and timely communication with the Property Managers and if necessary, collaboration with workers and other professionals during designated work.
- Be willing and able to always drive company vehicles responsibly.
- Ensure all hand and power tools used by the maintenance team comply with all relevant Health and Safety regulations and are stored in a safe and tidy manner.
- Be vigilant about any Health, Safety and Welfare risks in the workplace and bring any concerns to the attention of your manager or Health & Safety Representative.
Qualifications
- Valid Safe Pass
- Full, clean Irish or EU driving licence.
Required Skills
- Trade Skills and experience (carpentry, brick laying, ground works, plastering, minor plumbing and electrical repairs)
- Experience using hand tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in property/facilities management, healthcare, education, or corporate environments.
- Manual Handling, Working at Height, and Confined Space certification.
