Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Deputy General Manager to join our team working in and around Yale, Bersham Road in Wrexham and Ruthin campus, with the local postcode of LL12 7AB
The Deputy General Manager will support the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the commercial catering department, ensuring the successful management and growth of all catering outlets across the college. This role is crucial in maintaining high service standards, financial efficiency, staff and student development, and business growth, while ensuring the catering services align with both the college’s commercial and educational objectives.
Each Deputy General Manager will be accountable for the operations, financial management, and development of catering services at their assigned sites, while collaborating closely to ensure consistency across all locations.

- This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday with the occasional weekend required
- We are offering a salary of £31,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

A day in the life of a Deputy General Manager:
- Ensure that all food and drink offerings across the commercial catering outlets are of the highest quality, meeting both customer expectations and industry standards.
- Develop menus and product selections that are tailored to the specific needs of each campus, considering the demographics, preferences, and operational requirements of the site.
- Work collaboratively with local Welsh suppliers and producers, prioritising Welsh ingredients and products wherever possible to support sustainability, authenticity, and regional identity.
- Maintain a strong focus on seasonal and locally sourced produce, ensuring fresh, high-quality food is available across all sites.
- Lead, develop, and inspire the catering and hospitality team, ensuring a motivated and skilled workforce.
- Manage budgets and financial performance for all assigned areas, ensuring financial efficiency in line with agreed targets.
- Identify and support the growth of commercial opportunities, including new revenue streams, event partnerships, and catering contracts.
- Liaise with college colleagues to maximise commercial potential from internal and external events.
- Support the development and implementation of a sales and business growth strategy, ensuring that commercial catering continues to thrive.
You will be set up for success if you have:
- Previous managerial experience is essential
- Must be able to pass enhanced DBS check
