Aramark Food Services is currently recruiting for a Relief Chef to join our team covering sites from Wellingborough, Rugby, Birmingham, Bicester, Milton Keynes & the South West Ideally you will be Midlands based and willing to travel, as there will be some overnight stays.

The successful candidate will be working in prison kitchens and will work alongside prisoners to support them on the production and cooking of foods for up to 2000 prisoners. The Relief Chef will be responsible for the preparation of basic quality foods within a set pre ordered menu. You will be working with team of Chefs, you will be motivational and have a positive outlook and excellent attention to detail.

You MUST be flexible and have your own reliable transportation with business insurance.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervising enhanced prison inmates, assisting with preparing and cooking prisoners meals.
  • Cooking in bulk and ensuring all health and safety rules are followed
  • Working across a number of sites as a Relief Chef, you may be in Milton Keynes one day and Birmingham the next.
  • Ensure tasks are appropriately allocated so teams are fully utilised and food preparation activities are delivered using standard recipes and in line with Aramark brand standards
  • Responsible for ensuring efficient execution and delivery of all food line products in line with the daily menu
  • Maintain integrity of the standard Aramark food offer, responsible for maintaining food quality and integrity of items at all times
  • Accountable for stock flow and rotation of product within the unit

 


Requirements:

  • Chef experience
  • Your own reliable transportation with business insurance
  • Must have lived in the UK for 5+ years
  • Must be able to pass security vetting
  • Flexible team player who doesn't mind travelling and overnight stays if required
