YOUR ROLE 

 

Aramark Food Services is currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join our team in Warner Brothers - Lobby. The successful candidate will ensure that the team of staff is well trained, friendly, customer service orientated and motivated to deliver consistently to a high standard. The right candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, and a desire to develop their career within a growth organisation.  

 

This is a full time role working 40 per week.  (5 out of 7 days)

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Manage a large team of staff, ensuring efficiency and consistency in service delivery, operating across multiple catering and hospitality outlets  
  • Scheduling staff rotas, ensuring operations are covered to maintain efficiency and timesheets are complete for Team Member  
  • Ensure high standards of cleaning, safety procedures and compliance is maintained in line with Food Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations  
  • Organise Team Members to deliver service effectively and monitor performance including performance feedback and conducting team appraisals.  
  • Receive and deal with customer complaints appropriately  
  • Support monthly stock count and conduct appropriate brand standard audits  
  • Help in the recruitment and retention of Team members  
  • Train new Team Members to learn procedures and brand standards for all general tasks  
  • Support the effective delivery of special functions or events  
  • Champion excellent customer service and effectively implement all customer communication tools  
  • With the support of the General Manager and Food Production team, ensure all restaurant staff are knowledgeable of the food menu, beverages available and the promotional calendars, their contents, recipes, accompaniments and service.  
  • Maintain computerised point of sale system and ensure that all staff are fully trained to operate it efficiently  
  • Promote forward planning and collaborate with the Food Production team regarding stock.  
  • Holds regular team meetings / deputises in absence of manager and contributes to management briefings  
  • Collaborate with General Manager to ensure that all job training is carried out accordingly   

Qualifications

 

  • Food hygiene certificate Level 3 desirable 
  • Knowledge of applicable Health & Safety legislation  
  • Experience in a catering or hospitality environment essential 
  • Basic accounting knowledge  
  • Experience in leading teams  
  • Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work well with bespoke software applications  
  • Ability and full confidence in producing reports to cover relevant component(s)
