Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the team working at  West Herts College – Watford Campus, WD17 3EZ.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service to students, staff and visitors. 
  • Prepare and serve Starbucks hot and cold beverages to required brand standards. 
  • Serve food, snacks and other products across the catering operation. 
  • Operate tills and process cash/card transactions accurately. 
  • Maintain clean, attractive and fully stocked counters, displays and service areas. 
  • Replenish and rotate stock and assist with deliveries. 
  • Follow food safety, allergen, Health & Safety and safeguarding procedures. 
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation, including general cleaning duties. 
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as required. 
  • Work as part of the wider catering team and support other college catering areas and general duties as required. 

Key Requirements:

• Previous catering, hospitality, retail, coffee shop or customer service experience desirable but not essential; training provided. 
  • Friendly, positive and customer-focused approach with good communication skills. 
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment. 
  • Reliable, punctual, flexible and willing to support different catering areas. 
  • Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and presentation. 
  • Willingness to learn barista skills and prepare beverages to Starbucks standards. 
  • Basic food hygiene/allergen/Health & Safety awareness desirable; full training provided. 
  • Able to follow instructions, procedures and company standards. 
  • Willing to complete required online training and safeguarding requirements.
