We are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to be a part of our integral team at Sgts Mess, Alanbrooke Barracks, Thirsk, YO7 3EY

What you'll be doing

  • Required to be flexible according to business requirements.  The daily focus may vary however, it is expected that activities will typically include the following:
  • Assist in basic food preparation
  • General kitchen/FOH cleaning
  • Serve food and beverages to customers.
  • Operating tills and handling cash
  • Clean back of house areas, crockery, and cutlery
  • Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/machines, preparation, and public areas
  • Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services.
  • Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise.
  • Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during the course of the work Perform daily paperwork Follow food hygiene and safety procedures
     

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
  • Own transport essential due to the site being in a remote location with limited public transport 
  • DBS check required
