We are currently looking for a Chef to work with our integral team at Alanbrooke Barracks, Thirsk, YO7 3EY

⦁ 3 permanent roles available
⦁ Full time – 5 days over 7 including some weekend shifts
⦁ Shifts ranging between 6.30am – 8.30pm

What you'll be doing

⦁ You’ll be cooking and preparing food to the highest standard, adhering to allergen and calorie specifications
⦁ Work well as part of a team of chefs, supporting one another and communicating well
⦁ Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals
⦁ Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
⦁ Assisting with deliveries and stock checks
⦁ To monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries.
⦁ Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans - following hygiene and safety procedures
⦁ Occasional operating of tills and handling cash
⦁ Report to line manager any feedback (complaints, suggestions, etc.)

Experience

⦁ Relevant culinary qualification (706/1 or 706/2 or equivalent)
⦁ Reliable transport required (remote area with limited public transport)
⦁ A confident chef
⦁ Security checks & DBS required for this role (references to cover a minimum of three years)
⦁ Flexibility and the ability to innovate
